Dartmoor bus between Okehampton and Gunnislake on summer Sundays

New for 2019, have a summer Sunday day out on Dartmoor thanks to a new bus connecting with trains.

Every Sunday until 8 September, the bus will run between Okehampton station and Lydford,  Lydford Gorge, Brentor,  Tavistock and Gunnislake station.

It will link in with some Exeter–Okehampton and Gunnislake–Plymouth trains and pass the main entrance to Lydford Gorge.

Take the Great Round Trip

Buy a Devon Day Ranger and a £3 bus ticket to go for a great Devon round trip between Exeter and Plymouth.

One way out via Dartmoor and the new bus, the other via the south Devon main line and along the sea at Dawlish.

The Devon Day Ranger costs £13.00 Adult (£8.60 Railcard).

Maximum fare £3 Single or Day Return for rail users. Just show a valid rail ticket to Gunnislake or Okehampton to the bus driver.  Rovers, Rangers etc included.

Sunday Dartmoor bus poster

This is deemed a tourist service so all passengers need to pay a fare.  Concessionary and free passes are not valid for travel on this service.

 

The bus has been organised by the Devon & Cornwall Rail Partnership with funding from CrossCountry’s Community Engagement Fund.
